Overview
This is a 2020 panel, and buying it in 2026 only makes sense at the right price. The EX2510 is a 24.5-inch 1080p IPS screen at 144 Hz with a 1 ms MPRT response and FreeSync Premium - specs that were mainstream when it launched and are now entry level. What has aged well is the practical stuff: 400 cd/m2 brightness is brighter than several newer budget panels here, the stand gives 130 mm of height and +/-20 degree swivel, and BenQ's Brightness Intelligence Plus still adapts to room light. What has aged badly: 8-bit colour, 1000:1 contrast, HDMI 2.0 ports, uncertified HDR10 and no USB-C.
Key Highlights
- 400 cd/m2 - brighter than several newer budget panels
- 130 mm of height adjustment with +/-20 degree swivel
- 144 Hz with a 1 ms MPRT response and FreeSync Premium
- Brightness Intelligence Plus adapts to ambient light
- 89 PPI at 24.5 inches - denser than 27-inch 1080p panels

HDR & Brightness Reality
HDR10 with no DisplayHDR tier, 1000:1 contrast and no dimming means HDR is a checkbox rather than a feature - and in 2020, when this launched, that was normal for the price. The interesting thing is that the panel's 400 cd/m2 brightness would actually clear the DisplayHDR 400 bar; BenQ simply did not certify it. Either way, leave HDR off and enjoy a bright, fast 1080p panel for what it is.
