HDR & Brightness Reality
Dell lists no HDR for this monitor and that is the right call at 300 cd/m2. What it does have is IPS Black, which is the more useful upgrade for the work this panel does: 2000:1 contrast means dark-mode editors and photo shadows look properly dark rather than grey-washed. An HDR400 badge would have added nothing; doubling the native contrast changes the picture every single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
01 Why choose 3840 x 1600 over 3440 x 1440? +
Density. On a 37.5-inch panel, 3840 x 1600 gives 111 PPI where 3440 x 1440 across 34 inches gives 109 - but you also get more actual desktop space in both directions. It is the ultrawide resolution that stops text looking stretched.
02 What does IPS Black add on an ultrawide? +
Contrast. 2000:1 against the usual 1000:1 means dark UI, photo shadows and video letterboxing look black rather than grey. On a screen this wide, that consistency across the panel matters more than on a small one.
03 Does Auto KVM differ from a normal KVM? +
✓ Yes. Auto KVM switches keyboard and mouse to whichever input you are viewing without you pressing anything. A manual KVM needs a button or menu each time.
04 Will it charge my laptop? +
No. The USB-C upstream is listed as data only, so it drives the hub and Auto KVM but not power. Keep your laptop charger.
05 Is the 2300R curve noticeable? +
Barely - it is one of the gentlest curves here. On a 894 mm wide panel it keeps the far edges facing you without visibly bending straight lines, which suits spreadsheets and design work.
